"Wanted to congratulate you on the superb job that was done on the DVD. Everything about the acting, filming, production was superb. It got a great response from the people that saw it at the South East Regional Health Action Planning Network. Sue Carmichael at the Government's Valuing People Support Team raved about it. A big thanks to all the people involved. Really good stuff. Other resources on the market look very amateur compared to the DVD you have produced. Wouldn't it be great if this could be shown on TV"
Christopher Ball, NHS Trust, West Sussex County Council

"I would like to thank Sunny Arts on behalf of myself and Primelife for the work you did at our conference. We had very positive feedback and part of this is due to 'Jake's Justice'. Sally Green, PrimeLife Ltd

"I just wanted to say thank you to you and your team for such an excellent performance at the Care Home Event on Wednesday. Your partnership work with me in planning and linking the varying themes together were more than evident and it was a pleasure watching how it had all come together. Your suggestions about finishing the day with a positive performance for me clinched the day! As you know the evaluations were superb. I don't know what is happenning to my present role after August but I can assure you that wherever I go I will keep in touch as your involvelment was invaluable".
Anne Barrett, Regional Lead For Dignity, The Department of Health on 'It's In The Small Things'.
"I am writing to thank you and your company so much for the fantastic contribution to our conference. The drama was thought provoking and powerful, it raised many issues at a number of levels for participants to think about. In particular the experience of the service user and how they can get lost in systems which perhaps don't always see them as a person first. The evaluations reflected how much participants had valued the contribution of Sunny Arts with positive scores and conistent messages of how powerful the use of drama was for the event. The workshop went well and involved and engaged people in the range of issues, some of which were clearly new to them. In particular the role of the police and how people know how to access services. Once again, many thanks, my very best wishes and I will look forward to working together again in the future"
Barbara Simpson, Training and Development Officer, Lincolnshire County Council on 'Someone To Watch Over Me', performed at Conference at Lincolnshire Showground.
"Thank you all for a really wonderful performance yesterday...lots of positive feedback, with people saying that we have to have you back to do another performance in South Gloucestershire"
Sue Kerswell, Community Care, South Glos. Council
"Excellent performance and message conveyed by the actors, it kept the audience's attention and definately got the 'message' across"
"All those working in the care sector should have to watch Jake's Justice. It moved me to tears and made me realise how these people can be overlooked by the criminal justice system"
"A very powerful tool"
"The play was an excellent way of highlightiing all the issues and very effective"
"Jake's Justice was hard hitting and really made me aware of the impact of abuse on the individual and family. Far more effective than slides, talks, stats etc"
"Drama exceptional. Very moving. As the saying goes: straight from the horses mouth".
"Jake's Justice was incredibly powerful. Congratulations to all involved ".
Attendents at Lincolnshire Council Social and Caring Services: Adult Protection Conference.
"Thanks again for today's great performance"
Elaine Aherne, Partnership Manager London Borough of Lambeth on performance of Someone To Watch Over Me at Brixton Town Hall
"Just a BIG thank you. It went down well and was well recieved and on a personal noteI really enjoyed it and found the acting 'got to me'. So a big thank you"
Simon Payne, Child Protection and Vulnerable Adults Advisor. Diocese of Lincoln
"Looking back through the evaluations all bar one scored Jake's Justice in the very satisfied (majority) or Satisfied category. The comments reflect the fact that the participants found it a highly moving and emotive experience, an experience which certainly moved the majority out of their comfort zone. From my point of view as a Training Officer I found you exceptionally easy to work with. You always responded to my communications whether by telephone or e-mail, kept to deadlines, actively listened to what it was that we were trying to convey in these three half day conferences and made helpful and informed suggestions. On the days of the performances you were professional, well prepared and unflappable. I would certainly recommend Sunny Arts to any organisation whether from the statutory, voluntary or independent sector, who wishes to raise awareness of how abuse of vulnerable adults takes place and what steps need to be taken to ensure that vulnerable adults are protected from abuse. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to work together again which I shall look forward to".
Liz Husemeyer, Training Officer, Lincolnshire County Council
"I am writing on behalf of the Safeguarding Adults Board to express our gratitude and appreciation to you, the delivery and content of the drama production and the way you facilitated the interactive session excellent. We have had lots of good comments about your superb performance. Feedback has shown that people found the production 'very' powerful and thought provoking. On the evaluation sheets the delegates were asked 'what was thebest thing about the event', I am pleased to say that 99% of the feedback sheets stated that the drama performance was the highlight of the day, everyone enjoyed it. Overall the day was a great success with over 220 people attending; together we were successful in raising awareness of safeguarding adults, partnership working and introducing our new policy and procedures.
So once again can I say a very special "thank you" to you and your team for your invaluable work. Yours sincerly, Moira Wilson,
Strategic Director, Adult and Community Services. Bradford City Council
"Thank you so much for your contribution to the Spring Training Day at Arundel. We were all greatly impressed by the quality and professionalism of your performance, and found it deeply moving and thought provoking. I would have no hesitation in commending your play to any other group withinh the Criminal Justice System, and I look forward to seeing the very real concerns raised by the play being tackled in the real world"
Peter Taylor, Area Training and Development Manager, Crown Prosecution Service Sussex

Review of Jake's Justice in Community Care magazine
It is a challenging film, in that it forces us to think the unthinkable. Jake's Justice is hard hitting, powerful and moving. It illustrates some of the challenges for organisations working with vulnerable people in bringing perpetrators of adult abuse to justice. What comes over in Nicholas Wolfson's portrayal of Jake is a deep sense of injustice and the lasting impact that abuse has on him and his family.
The film, along with the resource book will be an invaluable tool for training and raising awareness and sets the agenda for organisations and agencies to review their arrangements for safeguarding vulnerable people.
